You will plan and prepare preliminary layouts, detailed design drawings, and calculations from engineering notes, sketches, and/or other drawings.
 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Civil Engineers and clients to create Grading, Land Development, Utility Plan & Profiles, Roadway Plan & Profiles, Concept Plans, and Record Drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Draft, edit, and finalize drawing packages conforming to good design practices

• Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and quality

• Organize/maintain all project drawing revisions and project-related information

• Work on numerous tasks of multiple projects; the tasks are complex and require innovative, original solutions

• Leverage experience to collaborate design group to create designs that are functional, economical, maintainable, and constructible, sharing tips, tools, and lessons learned with peers

• Work with other disciplines to provide best design solutions for clients

• Work with Project Engineers and other Designers to revise plans according to markups and design revisions
   

Requirements:

• 3 years of full-time experience performing CAD (Civil 3D) design work

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D in a design capacity including but not limited to grading, cross-sections, alignments, profiles, three-dimensional surfaces, earthwork volumes, pressure pipe, and storm pipe networks

• Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data files

• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed

• Associate degree in drafting/design or Civil Engineering Technology from a technical school is preferred
